Just trippin on how played out and uninspiring FM rock radio stations have become over the past twenty years or so. What happened to DJs breaking new bands? I feel like the mainstream outlets play it so safe now that they are gonna lose everyone eventually. Who gets excited to turn on the radio to discover awesome new rock n roll music? Who wants to endure commercials to hear selections from the same 100 songs we have all been hearing for decades now. Anyone? Pop lovers get fed a constant stream of new garbage. Why dont rock stations promote any new artists? Almost all new rock played is from platinum selling bands of yesteryear. But even a band as massive as Black Sabbath only got their new tune God is Dead? spun for a few months here in the Bay Area. The stations are all back to playing Iron Man again. I loved that song the first 5,000 times I listened to it, but dude, Sabbath has so many other songs. Mix it up for us. Please. Okay. Rant complete. Back to the Internet to listen to killer new rock bands, along with millions of other rock fans. And all without Sleep Train ads. Oh my.
