Just try and remain dry-eyed through this video. Were thrilled to announce that Nikita Smith, 12, will be our inspirational speaker at Vision Quest 2014 in Calgary. Nikita was born blind due to Lebers Congenital Amaurosis, but her visual impairment has not stopped her from living a fulfilling childhood or taking part in a variety of activities like her sighted counterparts. Nikitas father Wade is on our Ride For Sight Alberta planning committee and the crowd at this years event was treated to a inspiring and moving speech from young Nikita. Nikita is dynamic and courageous and were so happy to have her and her family as part of the Foundation community.
