Just two days after playing their first and only show of 2014 on Saturday night (December 13th) at a radio festival in Los Angeles, System Of A Down has confirmed a second U.S. date, also in Los Angeles, on April 6th. The show will take place before a string of European dates that begins on April 10th in London. The tour commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and will conclude on April 23rd with System Of A Down’s first-ever performance in their homeland of Armenia, in the city of Yerevan. Drummer John Dolmayan said in a statement. It’s truly an honor for System Of A Down to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide by performing our first-ever concert on Armenian soil. But it’s equally important to show our appreciation to the people and the state of California who have succored the Armenian people in their time of greatest need and who have led the way in genocide recognition and legislation.
