Just two more recent examples of the ugly ultra rightwing path that Hungary is now following. (1) The state has just this week delivered to every school in Hungary the complete works of Albert Wass, a Hungarian novelist and war criminal convicted for the murder of Jews and opponents of the Nazis, His conviction was upheld as late as 2008 after his son appealed the earlier post-WWII communist-era court ruling. Wikipedia reports his extremist ultra-nationalist books are now among the most popular in Hungary and in Transylvania amongst the Hungarian-minority. (2) A street has just been named after a well-know author and fascist-sympathiser Cécile Tormay.
