Just used Hartz Spot-on for Flea/tick on Buffy last week. Same ingredients as a more expensive brand at Walmart. It got her fur wet & messy so I wiped off as much as possible from her fur. She was itchy at the site, but no skin redness. Dont plan to reapply. Will continue to use oral flea med. as its much safer. I believe the tiny mites I found all over her belly before application might have been chiggers, not ticks, as they were all gone the next a.m. Just an FYI. Hope this little girl is okay now. Buffy has very long, thick fur, btw.....
