Just walked from the quarter pole to the finish line back and fourth 4 times for 4 miles it was cold but a beautiful day here with no wind at all. I have a few questions. 1-for the jockeys and harness drivers is it harder for a jockey to ride in the cold or is it the same as a Harness driver because as you know Aqueduct cancelled the races today while Monticello Raceway which if anyone knows is always 10-15 degrees colder than Queens NY raced today. 2- How is it on a beautiful but cold sunny day with no wind they cancel in advance but tomorrow morning it will be 7 degrees with high winds they still have not cancelled the races at the Big A yet? 3-for the racing fans if today was Saturday how many of you knowledgeable fans think the races would have been cancelled? 4- many changes need to be done at the Big A if you want Ill take the job for 1/3 the money the higher ups that most have never bet a horse in their lives are getting? P.s. If you stretch this photo you will see at the quarter pole workers there working on the grass course.
