Just wanna say that my son Solomon Summers was due 13 years ago, September 10, 2001. We were nervous to say the least. When we awoke the next morning, it was a day we will never forget. My midwife, as I was having a homebirth, was caught in customs. (She was working on adopting a child in Jamaica. Her adoption fell through. So did her flight.) I fell into a deep depression. Solomon my soon to be 13 year old was born on the 21st of September, 2001. His midwife came in on a flight from Atlanta that morning, he was born at 4:21pm September 21st. It was a lovely, peaceful birth. It changed how we all felt and thought. Thank you Solomon. Cant think of anyone else but you on 9/11/01. Thank you for your patience. Elijah was with his daddy playing PUTT PUTT. SAVANNAH was with me, we woke up an headed to the local PIGGLY WIGGLY on Betsy Kerrison for some groceries. We had no idea our midwife was not home. We were being patient. We had turned on the radio and heard what was going on. We called Daddy and turned around, headed back to our home on SEABROOK ISLAND,, in complete shock. We got home watched the news and did what everyone else did, we looked on in dismay and held our breath and one another. Our hearts were broke, andour fears were, at an all time high. We thought, what have we done bringing children into this world?. Terrified, does not begin to describe how we were feeling. But, here we are, people. Here we are. Solomon came into this world and it was amazing. We all forgot everything and focused on this new life and we never looked back. We watched what happened on 9/11 but we focused on the tasks at hand. We live, we love, we keep on keeping on. Thank you, GOD, thank you for AMERICA!!! All thanks go to all that died, all that sacrificed, all that survived! Please do not respond to this text.
