Just want to give a big thank you to Kaleem Caire, President and CEO of Urban League Of Greater Madison, for coming out to Alliant Energy and speaking, on the topic of making Madison a diverse city. It was wonderful to hear you share your own personal story displaying how encouragement, help, etc… from other people had such a major impact on your life. The lesson I personally took from this was, “Invest your time, energy, advice, etc…into other people, particularly people less fortunate” , don’t be so quick to make judgments based on what we THINK we know about people and their choices, instead be more willing to make a positive difference in someone’s life.
