Just want to take a moment to recognize Phi Chapter Phiotas. When I begun as a 1st semester neo, we had just 6 undergrads, now we are at a healthy 13! My PM Carlos Martinez is an admissions counselor at GVSU and sits on the Western Michigan Hispanic Center Board of Directors and my APM Don Riesgo is doing Teach for America in Texas. This May, we have a brother, Dr. Felipe Lopez completing his Ph.D program; another, Miguel Torres, earning his Masters in Public Administration; Martin Garcia earning his Bachelors in Accounting and starting his Masters in Accounting this fall; Fernando Solis earning his Bachelors in Kiniseology; and Ill be graduating with my Bachelors and beginning teaching as a Teach for America Corps member this fall. Very proud of my bros and grateful for the guidance, leadership opportunities, and experiences weve had as members of this distinguished brotherhood. #Phiota. #SPSJ. #LatinoEmpowerment.
