Just want to throw this out there, I was talking to an admin about posting the drawing from a seed company earlier today. She asked that this not be posted. Apparently I missed the memo we had that rule. I apologize for the oversight. In another thought, I joined this group to TRADE seeds with others. I have done some trades with some of you and enjoyed our chats and trading. However there is a MAJOR issue that needs confronted and I also told Lisa the same thing. Before I removed my trade list, I was daily asked via PM or on the board to give my seeds away and I see this a lot on the site. People get real, we paid for the seeds, we grow the seeds, some of the seeds, we saved. Point is they are not free. We have invested our resources in them. Have we become such a welfare society that that you expect everything for free? If you dont have anything to trade, do NOT come to a seed swap expecting a handout. If it was a FREE SEEDS GROUP, the name would not be SEED SWAP. There are a lot of gardeners who love to share and many will give out extra seeds and thats OK. But dont expect something for nothing (and SASE is still nothing). Offer a trade, offer a dollar even. Seeds are easy to buy anywhere, and most of the time, you get a lot more than you can plant, You then can have some to trade. If you cant afford a few seed packs for $1-3 each, then why can you have a smartphone and the laptop and internet or the $5 Starbucks drink? I dont think everyone here is completely broke. With almost 6000 people now in the group, admins must set boundaries or it will soon be out of control.
