Just want to update you all on the ICE G&S AGM last night. Portsmouth university did well last night and gained 4 positions on the committee and lots of pizza...! :) We have 2 student representatives now. Jack Cottrell 2nd year civil and Katherine Ayala 1st year civil are now our student reps for portsmouth. They will be promoting ICE presentations, events, socials, opportunities for training and organising events for the ICE G&S here. They are also tasked with listening to your views on what you really want from the ICE...! :) Our very own Matt Ennals who is out on placement has now become the Honorary Secretary. Well done Matt...! :) and finally I am now the treasurer.! This is a massive improvement on portsmouth uni representation in this committee so would like to congratulate all of the position holding committee members and would also like to encourage everyone to try and take part in everything these guys promote and do. The support of all of you at events publicised will only strengthen our presence and continuing commitment within this important branch of the ICE G&S. We have our next ICE G&S committee meeting here in portland on the Wednesday 3rd of December at Portland 2.39 from 6-8pm. Please come along and have some fun and see what we are up to and maybe get involved with a fab bunch of committed people who want to give you the opportunities and the best chance of being employed once you have graduated.! :)
