Just want to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving. Today is the forgotten Holiday. We may sit down with family and friends and enjoy a good meal and watch some football. At the end of the day we say goodbye to family and friends and once again wish them a Happy Thanksgiving. After they leave some of us ok me have to switch to our sweat pants to be comfortable. But do you really know the meaning of Thanksgiving. I still look at thanksgiving as two words thanks and giving but I think once we sit down at the table and say our prayers and devour the great food we still have forgotten to give thanks and to give back. Its a holiday that is passed over for so many reasons. Hunting, Football, Black Friday and the list goes on. We all have the opportunity to give back based on our economic status or our talents or just being there for somebody even somebody you dont know. We live in a changing climate not the weather but violence, distrust and hate. Yesterday I overheard an elderly couple talking about the violence in Ferguson. The women asked her husband how can so many people have so much hatred. Her husband replied because they never had any love only hate. When the couple got up from the table they wished everybody a Happy Thanksgiving and asked everybody in the restaurant to give thanks and provide some giving this coming year. Take a moment and reflect on what actions you can do this next year to show the true meaning of thanks / giving. We all have it in us to better people nit only to ourselves but also our fellow man. Im so grateful that Jeremy made it home safe this week both I and Jill worried as Jeremy lives and works a stone throw away from the violence in Ferguson. We are thankful to have him home if only for a couple of days. Enjoy the Holidays and I apologize for the soap box if anything remember what the couple said! Enjoy the photos
