Just wanted to bring everyone up to date on my husband Gary. He went back to the orthopedist Tuesday and the stump site looked better. The doc was surprised there was a decent amount of healing. He told Gary to continue with the wound vac and wait 3 weeks before coming back for recheck. He did caution us that there is always the chance that the wound vac could stop being effective. If that should happen Gary would have to undergo the above knee amputation. Garys confusion also seems to be getting better, most of it seems to start later in the afternoon or evening. If his condition remains this good they are looking at discharge from the rehab facility this Sunday! Gary is excited about this and they feel that being at home will also help the confusion clear more. GOD IS SO GOOD!! Gary has made much progress at rehab. He will have home health and PT working with him at home. Thank you everyone for your prayers and encouragement. It is making a big difference in our lives right now. Everyone PLEASE continue with prayers and encouragement for us. I dont have words to express how it makes me feel knowing that so many people are thinking of us and offering up their own prayers for us. I love all of you for caring and taking the time to offer your concern for our family. THANK YOU!!!!
