Just wanted to bring everyone up to speed about Brooklyn and where we are at in her care. We met with her cardiologist in Denver and everyone is on board with us taking the risks and trying this new surgery on Brook. They want us to get our evaluation done for transplant with Stanford before in case it doesnt work as we hope. It appears Brooklyn will be the third kid in the US to have this surgery and we are so hopeful. Surgery was set for Aug 6th in Seattle but after conversation with the transplant surgeon, they have decided that it would be best for her to have the surgery done by him in Stanford so that he knows what has been done and what needs to be repaired if we have to go to transplant. We are so hopeful that this will be the answer for our girl but feel so nervous about trusting another careteam with something so big immediately but feel confident that they are an amazing team and will care for our girl as well as everyone else does. We dont have an exact date and will keep everyone up to date as we know more info. Thank you for the continued prayers and support! Xoxo
