Just wanted to follow up and let you all know that my vet did not take my dog off Pred. The one vet that said that our goal was to slowly ween her off the Pred wasnt as familiar with my dog (or the disease), and I have since learned that he was mistakenly thinking she was on the pill version of Percorten that has some Pred in it already (name?). But the vet that is taking the lead with managing my dog said that since we are doing the injection of Percorten, my dog will stay on a dose of Pred but that we will get it as low as we can (possibly even down to taking it every 2nd day). Hope that helps to clear up some confusion and debate. Cheers.
