Just wanted to give a shout out to pembroke cemetery grounds keepers for their kindness and thoughtfulness during the recent passing of my great grandmother (sarcasm). Not only did we climb the hill to where our family plot is and discover they dug the hole for her ashes in the WRONG spot but we did indeed have to stand there during the burial ceremony and watch them dig another in the right spot. I returned there to today and being the first one to visit her since that day of the burial (my family lives in Braintree) discovered the head stone and hole like this. The hole is barely filled in and the box in which her ashes are kept is still visible from the poorly filled in hole! The headstone was covered with rocks and dirt and just left like that. How could you be any more disrespectful than that? Its heartbreaking to think theres more graves that have been abandoned and neglected by people who clearly cant or dont want to do their job. Call me crazy but I felt the need to voice my opinion and share what I think is unacceptable.
