Just wanted to give everyone a brief update and lots of thanks for being concerned and keeping Ava in your thoughts today! She obviously had an allergic reaction (either ant bites from the bush out back that she likes to tear apart or the Vics vapor rub I put under my nose last night that she licked off with kisses). The vet had to administer some steroid and anti inflammatory shots and kept her under supervision for a few hours today. If I wouldve waited it out and kept giving her Benadryl, it wouldve gotten worse and closed her airwaves, blocking her breathing (so glad we caught it in time). But shes doing great and the swelling has gone down some (I can see her beautiful eyes again!). YAY! =]
