Just wanted to mention a discount pharmacy program Carol and I have been using lately called goodrx. It has saved us a ton of money on certain prescriptions. You can go to their website and type in your zip code and the medication name, dosage, and quantity, and it will show you discounted prices at pharmacies in your area. Sometimes you need a discount coupon, which you can print out immediately and take to the pharmacy (be sure and show it to them when you drop off your rx) or you can order a GoodRx discount card in the mail which can be used in place of the coupons. Today I filled a prescription at Walgreens for a 90-day supply of a medication which had a retail price of $483, but with the GoodRx discount it was $28. It was actually cheaper than using our health insurance pharmacy benefit. Definitely worth checking out to see if you can save some money on your medications even without insurance.
