Just wanted to say... I want to sleep but I cannot begin to fathom how sleep will come to me tonight! I have served God in the Awana ministry for over 23 years now and full time as a Faith Supported Awana Missionary for nearly 15 years now. Having said that, I do not feel worthy and pray I never Feel worthy to receive blessings like I am about to share with you now. I was recently contacted by an Awana Leader of A church in northwest Mississippi about our vehicles and how ell they were working. Bearing in mind, BERTHA 1990 Dodge Caravan,BUDDY 2000 Oldsmobile silhouette and our 2007 Chevy Impala. The three vehicles combined have 88,000 / 182,000 / 258,000 miles respectively. At any given time, ( such as now) one or the other vehicle can experience mechanical failure and so we repair it accordingly, as possible. BERTHA is in the shop getting a water pump installed now. Buddy just had tires plugged, and the impala? Well lets just say its slipping on a banana peel daily on takeoff. Well during the conversation nothing came up about what may be done about our situation. And to tell you that we were completely shocked to see this sweet couple pull into our driveway at 8:00 pm from northwest Mississippi would be an understatement! As we walked outside with my three older sons, Kathy and me, we were overwhelmed with disbelief at what we found! A 2013 Toyota Sienna van! 43,000 miles and the keys were handed to Kathy and myself and told to go reach children and youth across the Great State of Mississippi with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Awana ministry! Oh my gracious! I am still unsure of what to say! My heart is overflowing with joy, feelings of unworthiness, gratitude, huge responsibility, excitement, safe feelings for my wife and I to be in a reliable vehicle. I just cannot tell you how I feel right now as I grasp at words and try to describe the feelings and emotions! I couldnt see it very well because it was dark outside but it says silver so I look forward to waking up and viewing our blessing in daylight hours. The great blessings for those that gave toward this gift are forthcoming indeed! If not here on earth than in heaven for sure! My boys were blown away! My wife and I wept as we prayed with this family and asked God to bless the efforts of the vehicle to reach lost men, women, youth and child for Jesus! I know its late, and I feel like Im rambling on, but we want you to know that we love each one that assists us in helping us reach the lost! We say it often, we will go and drive as far as God wants us to go for him! We are willing to do whatever he tells us to do! We thank you each and everyone for helping us accomplish this task before us! My life verse is Philippians 1:6 and I could not be more confident that God is still working on me! Also, Philippians 4:19 comes to my heart! All of our needs have been, are being, and will always be provided for by the loving God that we serve! Will you each join us in saying a hearty thank you to New Beginnings Baptist Church in Olive Branch, MS for their great and awesome act of kindness!!!! We love yall so very much!!! Now, about that sleep I was supposed to be working on!!! Pics to come in the morning!!!! God bless! Amen!!!
