Just wanted to share(ironic considering what Im about to say) a piece of mind that I have. So as some of you know, I just deleted a page that I had for over a year last night. A bunch of dudes told me Id regret it and that I should not delete it entirely because I had over a 1000 likes on it and people would miss it. Heres the thing though. Its not because you get this much likes that it means that people care about you, your existence or your page in any way. Most of these people liked my page because other pages shared it. These people liked it, not because of what the admin does, how he acts or even what he posted. They just liked it because the name was relevant to something they were a fan of and didnt give a shit about anything else. They would only like if the admin posted a picture of something relevant with the name. Today, I went to check out if other pages mentioned my last pages demise. No one did anything, thus proving my point. People dont care about who you are or what you do if you got shared by another page. For people to be interested into you or your page or anything else you do, they have to come by themselves and see if this actually interests them or not. So the subject I wanted to talk about here is share for share and why I hate begging for it, which we did a few times. One of the main reason being the huge text above, I also hate doing it because it feels shameless and just makes you feel worthless. As if you were just looking to get likes and nothing else. Which is not what I want. What I want is to be known, to be popular for who I am and talk about several and different things overall. I want to show what Im worth and to have people come by themselves and like this page because they really want to and because I am interesting in their eyes. Considering that I am not someone with the greatest self-confidence, there is nothing else better in my eyes than to mean something to someone else. Which is something I didnt feel at all on my other page, considering that I was practically bound to play the absolute asshole because everyone else was being some kind of dumbass if I ever dared say my opinion. Though at least that persona worked well with the character the page was based on, so there was that I guess. But this is not what I want. Most people who actually followed me on the other page actually expected me to be some asshole with Pokémon fans or weeaboos overall with this Zubat page. NO! Absolutely not! Im better than that, goddamn! I dont want to insult and tell everyone they have shit tastes or that they should kill themselves. At least, not unless they think theyre some really funny trolls who believe theyd be able to take down this page. And even there, theres a far better admin known as Shrektastique who can take care of that(Though it doesnt mean I wont take care of it either as well)! And then again, theres already a bunch of anime page, most commonly Sadistic Hex Maniac, which is turning into crap, that does it. Anyway, this was a rant about several things, which ended up being more than just about share for share, but it was all kind of relevant to it. What I really wanted to say is that I guess it just disappoints me that there are not that many ways to get more known without ending up having to share other pages. Unless you really are talentful and you already had a fellowship following you prior to your page.
