Just wanted to share my cents regarding Lycas winning in The Voice Kids Edition. Ive been hearing/seeing many posts and comments about how Lyca won the Title of The Voice Kids Grand Champion. One of the main reasons why I decided to post this is because Ive heard some people saying that she only won out of pity and Darren should have won because he is a total performer so he deserves the Title and Lyca just deserves the prize. First of all.. just so you guys know.. I have nothing against Darren. Me, personally can say that Darren also deserves the Title.. I cannot deny the fact that he is a complete package when it comes to talent and performance. But there is something I saw from Lyca that other contenders doesnt really have... for every song she is singing.. she touches hearts.. since the first time I saw her perform during the blind audition.. I was able to tell that she has a potential and she could win the title.. Can you imagine? how does a tiny little body.. can produce such a powerful yet heartfelt wonderful voice? To tell you honestly when I heard her voice, I was stunned and it gave me a goosebumps. Then I heard her story.. that she came from a poor family where her mother will have to scavage trash for something they can sell and her father was just a fisherman so her mom would just like to be of some help.. she even said that she also voluntarily helps her mom to do their daily task just to get money for schooling and to salvage their daily meal.. I even searched youtube and saw some videos of her singing on streets in exchange for small amount of money or food.. witnessing and hearing her story really breaks my heart but it doesnt mean I pity her.. It just came to my thoughts that this can be her chance.. that she can outstand her lifes misfortune and shine bright like a star.. and I was damn right! When I heard the news that she won.. I felt happy.. eventhough she is a total stranger to me.. It really made me feel happy and proud.. So why cant you? I would just like to highlights some points why I became one of her supporters and the reason why I cant stand those people who tends to criticize her instead of being happy for her.. Some people are asking why she cant sing english songs? Well we should all know by now that she doesnt understand and speak enlgish that much because of her lifes status.. Have you seen her performance when she sang the song Let it go and Call me maybe? I was laughing while Im watching her because I can barely understand the lyrics and the words coming out of her.. She cannot hide the fact that she is struggling pronouncing the words which are totally new to her but she still did fine.. what she did truly amazed me.. She did not think of her english deficiency as her weakness but rather treated it as a challenge.. You may also try watching her performance when she sang the songs Halik, Pangarap na Bituin, and Dance with my Father(Tagalog Version).. Listen how she delivers the message of the song and every words of it.. youll see that everything is coming from the very bottom of her heart.. Which I believe one of many reasons why she was able to reach peoples heart and also the reason why it touches mine.. I also seen one of her interview where they asked her what is she going to do with the money if she won the prize.. She said that she will buy applicances for their house and she will buy things for her siblings.. I did not hear antying that she will buy for herself.. which is why I started loving this child.. she just proved how much she loves her family and how selfless she is.. It even came into my mind that somehow I was wishing she was my own child. For Christs sake bata lang yun.. she is still innocent sa mga nanagyayari.. lets stop the Crab-Mentality attitude.. Am I affected much? Nah.. Its just one thing... I am an effin Filipino and I just love my own! Whats wrong with you people? Bottom line here is.. She obtained the Title fair and square.. She won the contest because she got what it takes.. She won not because out of pity.. but out of love.. P.S. Yung mga mangbabasag jan.. simulan nyo na.. alam ko namiss nyo ako basagin.. hahaha feel free....
