Just wanted to warn all of our baseball friends to lock up your valuables! Yesterday afternoon we were the only team practicing at the Sportsplex and therefore I parked right up front (yes I was bad, in an umpire spot), or the only team in the south parking lot. we had been there 45 minutes and it started raining so we packed up to leave and as the boys approached my SUV, the passenger back seat window had been broken and my purse (and small cooler) were gone. We had just left a birthday party or I would not have had my purse, which I had put in the backseat on the floor. The window tint is very dark, so i would not have thought this would have happened. We were maybe 50 steps from my truck, parked all by itself up front. I would have never thought. I had no cash, but sadly, now i have to pay my deductible for a new window, get a new drivers license, wait for a new debit and cc, and I had several gift cards! And of course it was a Coach purse and a coach wallet and wristlet and my favorite maryKay lipgloss :( I was very disappointed in League City police because he acted as if I wasted his time and shouldnt have had my purse in the car and i didnt need to report it (although my insurance requires it) The boys are now scared to death and couldnt sleep thinking this guy is coming to our house :( All the boys on our team said they saw an older model yellow and black camaro speeding from the parking lot as we were walking out. Just FYI - leave purses at home or carry to the field! Thanks for your help Shannon Orsi Nolen and Rhonda Christopherson...
