Just wanting to give a shout out to all of you who walked with us - TopicsExpress

Just wanting to give a shout out to all of you who walked with us through the adoption process. I want to tag many, but I dont want to leave anyone out. But, I will say to Stephanie Allen Michael Murdock, thank you for the Sunday after church when you whipped out your check book and asked how much more money I needed for the adoption application. You wrote the check and I knew our journey was about to begin. To Cheryl Nipper Schoenling, thinking about you and Stephanie and the others, I want to cry! I am so not like you in being a, go-getter. You jumped in there and was going to make sure that we started fundraising. You got on fb and went to town gathering yard sale items, getting the word out about dates. My friends encouraged us, prayed for us. Many of you gave money. I wont name names and some of you, I have no idea who you are. But thank you all for the money you gave whether it was 3.00 for an ornament or 5.00 or 2000.00. You believed in this adoption. Some of you mourned with us when we were told we couldnt have Andrea two years ago and you rejoiced when we were told that the Mexican family chose to walk away and that she was ours again. God made a way for her to be with us. You know the road wasnt easy, but looking back, all was laid out perfectly. She isnt the little one that I met over four years ago and that is fine. We fell in love with her and not her age. Thankful that we were able to watch her grow... from a distance even though it was painful. Thank you to those who let me clean their houses whether it was one time or permanently. It aloud me to make good honest money towards the adoption fees; it was a huge blessing. Yes, it was an honor to clean your toilets!! :) It also aloud me to work around my childrens school schedules. This three year journey seemed like an eternity and I know that many began to think Andrea may never come home to us. I hope that our journey can be one that shows that you dont give up on love and that the adoption path isnt usually easy, but the reward at the end is worth the frustration, anxiety, fears, sweat, and tears. There is now another little girl who has a momma and daddy, sister, and two brothers who love her. She now has extended family, her church family, and friends who love her. She will be shown the love of Jesus and hopefully she will one day choose to know him personally. She will know of all of the many people who had a hand in her adoption. She will hear of the fundraisers, the people who had a hand in them, the ones who gave money, bought ornaments, donated to our yard sales, sent notes of encouragement, encouraged her momma and daddy, gave gifts to her (clothes, books, money, etc...), and most importantly, she will know that she was prayed for. If I could write each and everyone of you individually, you know I sure would! But, I cant. Please know that from the bottom of my heart, I am so very thankful for every single one of you....and for the ones that I dont even know who have prayed, gave money, etc..., I cant name them individually, but I thank God for them collectively. And thank you to Shelby Henson and Kelly Ford Dodson and others who took care of our boys while we were traveling!!! Seriously, I am grateful. Thank you for allowing the Lord to work through you. Congratulations! We did it!!! Much love to you all!!!
