Just watched Matthew VanDykes entire Point and Shoot movie. I havent always agreed with Matt on the best way of doing things, or what things should be done, but I must admit this movie hit quite close to home, in more ways than one. It brought back a lot of memories, endless drives through the desert, back and forth, between Cairo and Benghazi, during the civil war. Time spent in US bases around Afghanistan. Pakistan, Egypt, and all the rest of it. The only psychological relief being provided by people there and then, who were just there for the sake of their community, nothing else -- somehow seemed to make the whole thing worth it. Its easy to be an armchair activist for whatever you believe in, its harder to actually do stuff, get down and dirty with it. That takes some courage. Kudos Matt, it was a good movie.
