Just watched Requiem for the Big East. It was saddening to a sports fan, but very well done (for the most part). It was also extremely self-serving, as ESPN conveniently left out the fact that after the Big East turned down the contract extension between BE and ESPN to pursue competing offers from CBS and FOX, that ESPN told the ACC that they would renegotiate the ACCs TV deal if they added Syracuse and Pitt. It was, in fact, ESPN that killed the Big East as we know it. But, that was somehow not mentioned at all during a 2-hour broadcast.
