Just watched a TED from Nicholas Negroponte (MIT Media Lab founder). To sum it up for you: Learning in 30 years from now Nicholas predicts wont be reading or listening or any of these time consuming and still hardly evolved practices. Learning in 30 years will be nothing more than swallowing a pill that disintegrates in your blood and through the bloodstream reaches your brain to release the information at the right places. So you get a math pill a Chinese language pill... Only the future can prove him wrong, and I dont think it will for it never did. For your reference Nicholas successfully predicted the technological future since the 1960s. Also making the future many times. One example: building a touchscreen in the 1970s. Funny fact is that papers where full of articles on the subject and how utterly stupid it was to use fingers as a interface. Hence they wrote fingers are low resolution, your hand would be in the way of what the eye needed to see and the bombshell: the screen would get dirty. Nobody picked up the technology, it took decades.. While the future was there all along. Well the mass will be naive as it always have been. The good thing tough: now there are enough people around that aint so naive anymore! If there is really something it will get picked up much faster than 40 years ago Im very happy Im living in the time of science :) Tim
