Just watched a piece on tv about the Henley Regatta reminded me of the time Night Train played Guildford and called into the town just as the proceedings on the river had begun (The Presidents Cup methinks)...we had taken two tatty vans, several cars....a rougher band of brigands and ner do wells the town had never seen.....they actually thought we were in fancy dress! Things got off to a bad start when one of our number asked,expectantly, some toff with a blazer, cap and chain Can anybody have a go or what? ....and then got progressively worse when another member of our entourage lifted his kilt to reveal a massive dildo..... We found one seedy bar that would actually let us in...drank it virtually dry, and headed off to gig...
