Just watched a quality program that explained the effects of using mobile phones. It seems that apart from the individual usage, 10000times more radiation exposure is applicable if you are within 500metre circumference to a mobile tower. The effect may be anything like: causing headache, eye irritation, skin dryness/problems, migraines, dehydration, brain tumour, heart malfunction, pace-maker failure for patients who are on pace makers, permanent & incurable infertility (both genders), deafness, fetus mal-formation in pregnant woman, brain disorders, kidney issues, mental disorders for women/kids, DNA damages!!!.. Though seems to be scary, better to take precautions in your locality. Ensure to unite & write petitions to bring your abjection to the notice of the concerned authorities; try to get the towers nearby removed from around the residences, hospital, educational institutions. The fact in India is that for the permitted radiation from mobiles, the usage can be safe only upto 18minutes per day (be it from handset, headset or bluetooth). If you want to use above this, you may choose to use call-divert option to a nearby landline or put your mobile on speaker, as applicable. Last, but not the least, for all those who earn money by letting your building terrace for this, pls understand that pledging health for few lakhs is just not worth it.
