Just watched an incredible program about 2 American medics who parachuted in on D-Day, set up an aid station in a church in Angoville Au Plain in Normandy and treated both American and German casualties while the battle raged all around them. The residents of the town replaced the stained glass windows of the church which had been blown out during the fighting with new windows honoring the Americans who liberated their country and the two medics who saved so many lives including one French boy.
