Just watched last nights episode of Dr Who... thoughts on the new series so far:- (I loathed Matt Smith, and had actually given up partway through the David Tennant era - it was getting worse and worse) New titles... love the visuals, hate the music. Peter Capaldi - at last, a Doctor with a bit more of an edge to him! Possibly a tad OTT with the aggressively-Scottish thing in the first episode, but what the hell... liking his interpretation so far. Ep 2 - when I saw the title, I cringed. When the gimmick became clear, I cringed even more. But actually... bloody well done, I thought! The quality of writing appears to have picked up a little (I dont think its ALL down to Capaldi!) - and the Auld Enemy (see what I did there? ;-) ) were much better than some previous efforts. As for the trailer for next weeks episode... this is either going to be one hell of a hoot or a total sickbag moment. Heres hoping for the former!
