Just watched the Monty Python special...enjoyed the revision and new shape of the material, but feel incredibly sad in one respect, its been a big part of my growing up - listening to the albums with my pals, trying to catch the TV series when it came around, quoting vast tracts of it, seeing late Saturday night showings of the films at the Futurist, buying the books, and devouring any scrap of related humour...all gone, but not forgotten. Maybe some of the critics are sharpening their knives, but let them; as far as Im concerned Python has been a great joy and pleasure for the majority of us, and itll continue to be so for time to come.
