Just watched the biggest damn roadrunner I have ever seen come and inspect my pool for about 30 seconds on my fence before I could get a picture off. I was struck by how different it acted in comparison to crows, pigeons and other birds that congregate around my yard. It acted more like a raptor from Jurassic park than a bird. It even raised its crest in what I think was annoyance before disappearing back over the fence.
