Just watched the movie, August Osage County, with Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts. Dark... pheew! ... Excellent acting... I liked it. I love to explore humanity... The full range of human emotion.... Muscles of the soul. This movie did that. Is it over the top? .. for real? I say this with compassion- yes, it is very real. I know this because I work as a nurse. Nurses are included in the most intimate aspects of a persons being while you provide care. You help them heal their primary illness, but you most ALWAYS help peel the onion..... Family, relationships, memories... You come along side the person with all their emotions. For this nurses are truly blessed because we really know by existential experience what pain, joy, love, anger, courage, hate, regret, sorrow, grief, longing, loneliness, etc truly is... We are brought to really know, understand and love humanity. And, yes, people are beautiful and life is complex. I feel blessed to have an occupation which helps me live this intensely.
