Just watching Catalyst (July 4th 2013) on the ABC and apart from being totally predictable regarding their conclusions in regard to severe weather conditions (i.e. BLAME IT ON GLOBAL WARMING [read between the lines "man made" global warming] claiming a 0.8 degree Celsius rise has caused these "record" extreme conditions) they totally neglected is the fact that during relative recent human history (i.e. in medieval times) temperatures were some 4-5 degrees warmer than now AND YET THE HUMAN RACE SURVIVED. No Carbon Dioxide "run-away" record concentrations back then - pre-industrial revolution. Also totally neglected was the role the Sun in particular Sun Spot activity and the lack there of plays in the overall climate of the earth. I have read, intensively, both sides of the debate and remain CONVINCED that our weather pattens are no more than NATURAL events that have gone on from "time immemorial". Being scientifically minded (from my Infant School days) and scientifically trained (RMIT The BEST University in the World) I do not let the "media" or "popular press" "brain wash" my thinking or research. THE CARBON TAX IS IMMORAL.
