Just went to see BIG HERO 6 with my kids. (Awesomest kids movie ever!!! Highly recommend it!! ) Halfway thru though, this cute 7yr old little boy wondered in, walked down the isle passed my kids and sat right next to me and started watching the movie! Had spare 3d glasses for him, luckily. Turns out his mom works there as a cleaner, and he was hanging around waiting for her to finish....which is usually around 11.30pm. Been hearing of a lot of single moms battling to take care of kids alone lately -made me realise how fortunate I am to have so many people who help me with my kids. So here is a suggestion - if you know a single mom who has limited co-parenting support, why not offer to help her out with her kids during the school holidays? Even if its just offering to take them out for a few hours. Raising kids alone is tough and most woman who do it well are those kind of Superwoman who dont ask for help easily.
