Just what IS a CD release these days, anyway, for an independent artist? I mean, Ill have some official release party with, say, Dave Crossland, possibly, in a couple of months, but apart from that, what is it? Release to whom? To NARAS? To radio? What? I mean, people are already paying me money to send it to them, (and they are apparently rather pleased) but am I messing something up by letting the cat out of the proverbial bag before an official release? If people paypal me money and I do the packaging and mailing myself, am I shooting myself in the foot? Do people want to paypal me money and have me send them an autographed CD of a CD that might only ever have one printing? And do they know I wouldnt mind at all? I have no idea about these things. I am a lonely painter. I live in a box of paints.
