Just when you think youve seen and heard it all, along comes something that gives your gob a good smack.... I had a pupil out earlier today....ooops, sorry, a hypothetical Instructor was out earlier today with a hypothetical pupil..... This pupil had finished their last block of 10 lessons and was 3 lessons in to what would be their next block if they had actually made any payment. When I, sorry, when this hypothetical Instructor, asked about payment, the reply was usually, oh, sorry, I forgot to ask my dad, definitely have it for next lesson. So, at the end of the 3rd lesson the hypothetical Instructor reminds the hypothetical pupil that payment is required without fail at the start of the next lesson. So......the next lesson duly comes around and nothing is said..... At the end of the lesson the pupil goes to get out of the car and the Instructor asks about payment. Once again the response is along the lines of oh, Ill ask my dad and have it for next lesson. At this point the Instructor (hypothetical remember!) cuts in and advises the pupil that hed heard this all before and that the car doesnt run on fresh air etc. To which the pupil comes out with the classic line; Aw, ffs Hamish, chill man. Times are hard an aw that!)..... Wrong reply....very very wrong reply. The Instructor then politely and courteously lets rip..... End result was the Instructor waited patiently outside while the pupil went and got her Bank Card and he then very kindly drove her to the cash point where lo and behold, she managed to produce the outstanding lesson fees....... Ill times are hard you.
