Just when you thought she couldnt get any better!! During the first 4 rounds Braekhus was dominating her opponent Jennifer Retzke with her technical skills. But at the last second in round 4, while delivering a punch she hurt her right leg, her back foot!! She was now incapable of moving efficiently like we are used to see her. Instead of a brilliant punch and move performance, it turned in to a brawl. Standing 6 rounds in front of her opponent trading punches. With the IBF rules, a fight night weigh in revealed a huge weight disadvantage. Braekhus was the better fighter on the inside against a 154lb fighter, while she was only 145lb. For the first time she has experienced what many mean is one of the most important moments in a champions career. The moment where you face great adversity. I have never been more impressed and proud.
