Justice for Christopher Cervini? The white Trayvon Martin you’ve never heard about JULY 25, 2013 tags: America, Christopher Cervini, Corruption, George Zimmerman, Justice, liberals, Murder, politics, Racism, Roderick Scott, Trayvon Martin Thanks to beforeitsnews Christopher Cervini. I’m willing to bet most folks have never heard of the guy. It just so happens he was a 17 year old white boy who was gunned down by a 42 year old black man named Roderick Scott. The white boy was unarmed. The black man Roderick Scott was acquitted. The story is nearly identical to the Trayvon Martin shooting … in reverse. Here’s the story … Via: MPNnow Posted Dec 16, 2009 @ 05:40 PM Greece, N.Y. — The Greece man accused of fatally shooting a Hilton teenager in April took the stand in his own defense Tuesday. Roderick Scott, 42, of 58 Baneberry Way, is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Christopher Cervini. Scott previously pleaded not guilty, saying he believed the teen and two others were breaking into cars in his neighborhood. Scott’s trial in state Supreme Court began Nov. 30. Scott testified Tuesday that he heard voices outside his home in the early-morning hours of April 4. “I looked outside the front door to see what was going on,” he said. “I saw three individuals walking out of my driveway.” Scott said he tucked his gun in his pants. “I intended to go out and stop the criminal act or detain them,” he said. After Scott saw one of the people in the driveway, he said he pulled out his gun and “chambered a round. I had no idea what was going on, so I had to protect myself.” Scott said he didn’t know what he was up against, just that he was outnumbered. Asked why he went out to confront the people, Scott said, “I wanted to stop them before they could get away. We live so far away, they would have been gone before police got there.” Scott said when he told the three people he had called the police, two of them stopped, but the third — Mr. Cervini — ran toward him. Scott testified he heard Mr. Cervini say: “I’ll get you or I’ll get him,” and that’s when Scott said he had a gun. That’s when he fired his gun, Scott said. After more than 19 hours of deliberations over two days, a jury acquitted the Greece man in the shooting death of Christopher Cervini, 17, last April. “I just want to say thank you to the people who believed in me, who stood by me,” Scott said following the verdict. “I still have my regrets for the Cervini family; it’s still an unfortunate situation for them. I am happy that at least this chapter is over.” As deliberations dragged on over two days and the jury asked for testimony to be read back, Scott admits he didn’t know how it would all turn out. “I was nervous of course,” he said. “You never know what direction this whole thing is going to turn, so I have no idea. But it worked out and I feel that justice (was) served today.” Cervini’s family members say justice wasn’t served. They say Christopher was murdered in cold blood, that he’d never been in trouble and Scott acted as judge, jury and executioner. MORE HERE gyhudkjgy jdgykj
