Justified by FAITH. by pastor Dickson Dennis. 2 Timothy 1:9 (NKJV) Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, Your good works can never SAVE you. The word save from Greek is Sozo which means preserve, heal, do well, make whole, deliver or protect. Some people think good works can preserve or protect them from evil, that is a liar. Our SALVATION solely depends on His grace for our lives and according to HIS purpose which is outlined in HIS WORD. For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. Romans 4:2, Abraham was justified by FAITH not by works. Before God your works are as filthy rage without CHRIST. For by works shall no man be justified before GOD, For by faith in His WORD are you healed, preserved, protected, delivered from darkness and dead works, made whole, and do well (progress, prosper, Advance etc) according to His own purpose. THIS IS WHAT WE CALL SALVATION - a complete package of His substitutionary work on the cross to the church.
