Justin West wrote an article on the Reformed Theology. I asked if I could post it to our website and he agreed. It has many scripture references and this is good. I hear so many people say, I just believe xyz in my heart to be true... Why? Just because I know its true...I feel it in my heart to be true... All of our beliefs MUST be based on the word of God not on the heart which is deceitful. Know what you believe and why, from the Word of God not your heart. Is the heart involved, yes but it is not the source of truth. Jeremiah 17:9 ESV The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 1 Peter 3:15-16 ESV but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, (16) having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.
