Juvenile crime- do we punish or reward? On second thought, I think the present law for punishment is severely flawed. It means if you are below 18 years, commit any kind of worst crime any number of times, e.g. bomb blast to rape, you may be trained in a neighboring country (even be their citizen) in some of their most notorious training centres , just come to India commit these crimes. When caught, you will be sent in a cosy home to feed you well, to teach you, to educate you (like in a school of higher learning) and to take care of you when you fall sick for a maximum of 3 years. When you are 21 you are like a degree holder at Government of India expenses (means on the tax paid by those whom or whose kin this guy murdered or tortured). Further no body will even come to know who you were who committed those crimes? Do we punish or reward?
