Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon seems to think Bayern Munichs Manuel Neuer will have his work cut out to win the Fifa Ballon dOr. Neuer, 28, won the World Cup with Germany and a domestic double with his club this year and is joined by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi on a three-man shortlist for the award. Perhaps a goalkeeper will win the Ballon dOr when he helps his team become world champions by winning four games in a row on penalties and saving every spot-kick, says Buffon while laughing. That way no one can overlook him. But something really remarkable needs to happen.
