K FM News Brief, Tuesday – 18.06.13 K FM has finally employed three fulltime qualified journalists as News Editor and two others as Senior News Reporters. Mary Mbewe and her two colleagues have since reported for work yesterday and took over from Stafford Mubambe who has been acting as News Editor for about a year. Mbewe holds a Diploma in Journalism and Public relations from Zambia Institute of Mass Communication (ZAMCOM) and has past work experience with the Zambia Daily Mail Kitwe, Iso FM in Isoka and the Zambia News and Information Services in Chongwe among others. She will be deputized by Mwape Mwesa who also holds a Diploma in Journalism from Institute of Commercial Management (ICMUK) whilst Martha M’soka is a Senior News Reporter with a Diploma in Journalism from Copperstone University in Kitwe. ………… Kasempa based freedom fighters have called on the government to get concerned with their livelihood. Speaking on behalf of other freedom fighters, Wisamba Bwanga said freedom fighters in other countries are respected and are taken care of in many ways better than the current scenario in Zambia. He told K FM news today that in some countries people who fought for independence are leading better lives and cited Zimbabwe and South Africa as some of the countries which are taking care of freedom fighters. .………….. Kasempa District Commissioner Victor Kayekesi says all the civil servants who applied for the loans from the public service micro finance will be paid next week. Confirming the development to K FM news in Kasempa today, the District Commissioner said those who have applied for the monies and have their forms approved will start getting the money by next week. He said Kasempa district is privileged to have been picked as a pilot district for the project among the few districts in the country. …………. Preparations for the fourth coming Kasempa District Agriculture and Commercial Show are progressing well. Speaking to a KFM news crew that visited the show grounds this morning, organizing committee chairperson Sikota Lutangu said the committee is ready for the show which opens its gates this Friday. Lutangu said the show will run for two days from Friday to Saturday under the theme “BUSINESS IN A CHANGING ENVIRONMENT” and is expected to be officially opened by North Western Province Permanent Secretary Augustine Seyuba. ………………
