K so last time i neglected to mention that in Dt 32:48 when it - TopicsExpress

K so last time i neglected to mention that in Dt 32:48 when it mentioned this selfsame day it could have very well been talking about the same day as 31:2 when Moses said it was his 120th birthday. Dt 33:1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. 3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. 4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. K so this is getting to be close to if not the last words of Moses & they start out with Moses bringing their minds back to how YHVH gave them the 10 commandments & some other rules back in Mt Sinai & after that guided them around the Seir mountain range & we get this line 10 thousands of His saints - so here it was most likely in reference to them & so when we see it again later in Jude 14 we think it is about us coming back with Jesus sometime after we were harpazoed while He is riding on that white horse from Rev 19 that we looked at recently as we are adopted into their family so we are them. Then we see that from His right hand went a firey law - so to me this is clearly a reference to Jesus as i see Him as the right hand of God due to that 98 Ps 1, 1 Cor 15:57 combo & Jn 1 calls Him the word of God. Jer 23:29a Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD - Then it says that He loved the people; well this should have already been well established partially due to His relationship with Abraham & also that He took pity on them when they were slaves. He said He loved them many times & many ways once recently when He called them the apple of His eye in Dt 32:10. Jer 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. We should have already also established that the reason that He gave us these rules was so that we could live by obeying them as disobeying them results in our death so He is looking out for us like when our parents tell us not to cross the street alone when we are short because they dont want us to get run over or they will tell us not to stick a fork in a light socket so as to avoid injuring ourselves & so pretty much every rule in the covenant is for that type of purpose among other things. All the saints are in your hand - well this is about providence or how God is in charge of luck & so our circumstances are orchestrated by Him - 1 Sam 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. - as we see in the beginning of this verse being in His hand means under His protection. 89 Ps 5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints. - This one has a clue about how the saints will never get tired of praising God & giving Him glory; so if that is the type of atmosphere you are in then there is a good chance you are a saint or next to one. Being in His hand means you are close to Him & because as i learned from 17 Ps 15 that is the source of our satisfaction, the relationship with God that He wants to have with us in the first place (one of my preachings is that getting some face time with us is Gods prime directive here on earth), we should be of the mindset to be thanking God for giving us of Himself the only thing that can satisfy us. 97 Ps 10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - this one says that saints are supposed to be running around hating evil if they want to be saved from it. 116 Ps Ps 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. - This one gives us a clue as well; that even when someone who works for God gets taken out by the enemy there was a purpose in it because of the thought in Rom 8:28 & they will be avenged according to the thought in Rom 12:19. They sat at your feet & everyone heard your words - 2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 1 Pet 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: Jn 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. - So this section is saying that saints are the type of people who prioritize learning what the word of God says & who God Himself really is - the thing is that there were lots of people who knew what the scriptures said but did not know the guy who wrote them & that is why they killed Jesus because if they knew the God who wrote the bible then they would know that Jesus was the messiah of that God & therefore them killing Him would not be such a smart move on their part. However they were so concerned with keeping their positions of power dominating the rest of the people with their authority they never took the time to get to know the guy who gave them that authority & what His will really is. Basically this all boils down to that individual relationship with God that i am always preaching about because if you have one then He will tell you what the scriptures mean & how to apply them to your life so as to be pleasing to Him & that is what life is really supposed to be about finding out who the real God of the universe is & then form a relationship / covenant with Him & then be pleasing to Him - right? Well anyone who is reading this & has some other priority in their life aside from getting to know who God is & then obeying Him to be able to be lead by Him into your best possible destiny - well you are wasting your time reading this & you would be better served focusing on whatever your priority is. In any case my point is that a real saint will have dedication when it comes to the word of God & they will not be a once a week Christian who is only spoon fed a couple scriptures once a week on sunday - Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. - Man lives as much by obeying the word of God as he does by eating bread. So if we only eat a sandwich once a week then we would probably be pretty malnourished & weak if not just dead - well only getting a couple scriptures once a week means that our spirit is probably dead too & that is why Matt 8:22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. - because there are people who are physically alive but spiritually dead at the same time. Jer 23:33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD. 34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house. 35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken? 36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man’s word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God. 37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken? K so this is the first half of a prophecy about people who preach that serving God is this hard thing we have to submit to & therefore dont know the meaning of Mt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. - Well it is one of my heavy duty scriptures because it has a positive command - most of the commands in the bible are negative ones that start off Thou shalt not but there is a line in the bible about how when commands are worded like that they become a trap because now our natural mind wants to go do the thing we were told not to do (Rom 7:8). As a result i am always interested in the positive commands as the negative ones are a trap, so i am much more concerned to know what the bible says to do compared to what it is saying not to do. So the positive command given to us in this section is to ask each other What has God answered you?, or What has He spoken? - so because the average person in my country calls themselves a Christian while at the same time thinks that God doesnt (want to or cant because he is mute - i cant stand weakling gods that are unable to do stuff lol) talk to them because people who hear voices are crazy; so because of another passage that i refer to a lot in Rom 10:17 that says faith comes by hearing the word of God; i combine these 2 thoughts & ask people What is the daily scripture? - And do you know what i get as an answer from most of the people who call themselves Christians who i ask that question? Anything but a scripture like I dont know or I dont have one from 80% of the people & then 19% will either give me the same scripture that was on the card i just gave them or strain to remember one of the top of their heads & only 1% of the people i talk to have read enough scriptures to be able to tell me an appropriate answer to my question & give me a scripture that was given to them recently or the one that they are praying about. One more story just for good measure - there was a church building who is popular in my town & they were having a picnick in the park one day & my picnick was nearby so we wound up talking or i did with a couple of the people who went to that building & every single one i asked What is the daily scripture? didnt have a scripture to give me in response & one of them even said I dont talk about the bible outside of church. - Well sorry to tell you but 1 Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? - If you can go outside of church then you dont belong to the real church because you are supposed to be the church & how can you step outside yourself? So one last time just to make sure my point is clear: A saint is a person who prioritizes bible study & does it often & will not tell you that they dont have time to do it either in private or in groups. Well in any case i am really concerned for the status of the Christian community in my country seeing as how most of them seem to be of the once a week type which to me = lukewarm = getting vomited out of Jesus mouth. The law Moses gave is the inheritance of Jacob - probably moreso than the land they are going into - Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. - The fact that God gave them this law is the foundation upon which Christianity was built; Jesus being the chief cornerstone as He is the word of God that was given to them. The verse 5 looks like it may be saying that Moses was their king; but it could also be shifting the focus back to God here saying that He was their king & that is probably the better interpretation, only thing is that not everyone considered Moses or God their king & that is why Korah had his rebellion; so this is another reason for us to have an individual relationship with God because if we do then He will tell us which earthly authority we are supposed to be submitting unto & if we obey God by obeying the people that He puts in charge of us we can avoid getting wiped out like Korah & his cronies did. So until next time let us pray that we are Rom 1:7b beloved of God, called to be saints: - or just called saints as the words to be are in italics; so that YHVH can protect us & let us demonstrate our saintliness by praising God all the time (34 Ps 1), hating evil & studying the word of God so that we know what it says. 1 Pet 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: - If someone were to ask you a bible question could you answer it or would you say Go ask my pastor.? Well just remember everybody needs their own relationship with God & nobody is getting into heaven based on their pastors relationship with God. 1 Cor 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. - This one says if anybody doesnt know what is really going on i shouldnt worry about it but i am anyway because God gave me a little bit of His heart - 2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. - The part of Gods heart that He gave me is the part that doesnt want anyone to die & one of the causes of our deaths is laid out here - Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. - People are dying because of what they dont know about God & His word. That is just sad as this cause is totally avoidable because He gave His word to us so we should have it. But not everybody is sitting at His feet & paying attention to Him tell us what it is & what it means. Lk 10:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word. 40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. 41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: 42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her. - Sitting at His feet & hearing His word is more needful to us than our day to day activities that we normally find ourselves busy doing all day.
