K so last time when it said that anyone who didnt have a legitimate excuse to be absent & forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people - because Christ is our passover (1 Cor 5:7); anyone in the NT age who does not accept Jesus sacrificial death on the cross for them is in effect giving themselves an eternal death sentence as they will be cut off from the people. Now there may be a very rare exception to this (this may be my most controversial doctrine as the {good} people who are focusing on Acts 2:38 & 4:12 dont want to hear this, but i dont have a problem when i look at those verses with the thought that the word name is in reference to the authority, reputation & power of Jesus compared to the designation of Jesus) - Mk 9:40 For he that is not against us is on our part. - & 2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? & Rom 2:12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another; ) 25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. 26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? 27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? 28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. - These verses tell me that there is a possibility that because Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: - God reveals Himself to us through nature & so some people are truly seeking Him without getting a proper introduction via another human & so if they have Jesus living in their heart without knowing His name (which technically wasnt even Jesus, his name was Yâhowshuwa` {most people are familiar with the short form Yshua} which was also translated Joshua) & are busy about doing His will on the earth moreso than just talking about it like many of us who know His name do, then there is a good possibility that he is more saved than the guy who knows who Jesus is & doesnt do what He says (Mt 7:21; 21:28-31). Of course the other side of that exception is whoever denies Jesus before men, Jesus will deny before His father (Mt 10:33) so anyone who really does have Jesus in their heart will not deny Him if given a proper introduction; however it is my belief that doesnt count if the only Jesus they meet is one of the bogus ones like the one that will save your soul for 5 easy payments of $49.95. Num 9:15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning. 16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents. 18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents. 19 And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not. 20 And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed. 21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed. 22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed. 23 At the commandment of the LORD they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed: they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses. K so this section says that ever since Ex 40:17 a manifestation of God was covering the temple in the form of a cloud by day & fire by night; the same pillar of cloud & fire that got between them & the Egyptians as they left Egypt & crossed the Red Sea has now found a home so to speak & this manifestation is what God used to tell the people 1) when to go 2) where to go 3) when to stop 4) how long to stay stopped - & the people obeyed & didnt go wherever they felt like, but always at the commandment of the Lord they went or stayed. This technique is how all Christians are to be living their lives - Jn 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. - Basically if we fulfill that scripture than we will always be in the right place at the right time & the main time we have troubles is when we go off our course that has been laid out by God & start thinking we are smart enough to plot out our own destiny. One thing to keep in mind though; just being where God wants you to be is only half the deal, we are also supposed to do what He wants us to do when we get there - no sense being in the right place at the right time if you are not doing the right thing to further along Gods plans. As every time we dont do what He wants then He has to get someone else to do it or leave it undone. Prov 10:26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him. - So if you want to be irritating to God like smoke in His eyes, then dont do what God wants you to do. Next time we will get into the beginning of chapter 10 that reminds me of a cool song with the beginning of Joel 2:1 in it.
