K2 PADDLING Calling all current and former K1 paddlers in the Cork area ( and further afield). In an attempt to progress paddling in this area i am trying to organize a series of K2 paddling sessions. The idea will be to try, as best as possible to organize evenly matched pairs and have a few group sessions, 1h30 to 2hr. Hopefully as a training spin and to allow less experienced paddlers to enjoy a bit of group and tactical paddling. Probably laps of circuit to allow boats jump in and out. The intention will be to focus on training and developing skill, but we all know what happens when more than 1 K2 goes on the water! To be fair on all you should be at least be capable of paddle a K1 with some ease and be of reasonable fitness. The more the merrier. I think i have access to about 4 or 5 K2s. Would be great to see paddlers from further afield involved too. I was thinking of Saturday afternoons, so as not to clash with peoples Saturday training or Sunday races. Probably every second week. This is not a club session, just some peer paddling. Anyone interested?
