K9 Matte needs a new ride…if you can help… send donations to please send a check to the Womens Club at PO Box 193, Orange MA 01364, My fathers police K9 car has broken beyond repair, and he is currently unable to patrol with his K9 Matte on a day to day basis. This also means he is unable to respond to emergencies involving lost and missing people/children, scenes of crimes, evidence recovery etc. My father has been doing K9 for the Town of Orange for over 30years, and thanks to the Pioneer Junior Womens Club it hasnt cost the taxpayers any money for the cost of the dogs, equipment, cruisers, etc. Now that he isnt able to respond with the dog, the Town of Orange and surrounding communities will not have this service available. Itss a tough time of year, but if anyone has a few dollars to spare, $1, $2, 10 bucks- anything, it would be appreciated, and go towards the cost of a replacement car (not a brand new cruiser, replacement used as all his others has been). His service has proved as an invaluable resource to the community, and Id hate to see it lost, especially as the town doesnt have the funds available for a car.
