KADEN UPDATE Well friends, while Tuesday looked like he was trending on a positive path towards recovery, Wednesday reminded us of how quickly things can change. He is still in the PICU at St. Francis in Monroe and he is now being treated for RSV and pneumonia. At one point his fever had jumped to 103.7 but we are now giving him Motrin and Tylenol around the clock to keep that under control. Perhaps these illnesses were a contributing factor for his stomach shutting down and him not being able to keep any food in his system; but we still firmly believe that he has an underlying stomach motility issue. At this moment, we are trying several different things, but he hasnt been able to hold any food down. So most likely, it wont be long before he will be transferred to Childrens Hospital in New Orleans where we can meet a Motility specialist and continue to treat his RSV and pneumonia. It looks like Kaden is going to be in the hospital for a while so your continued prayers and support mean the world to Nicola and I. So please, keep them coming...
