KADUNA, WHAT AN UNLUCKY STATE! In recent times, Kaduna remain more like a motherless child in the hands of a wicked stepmom. It is a state that has the most informed and educated citizens in the North yet, it is now the most backward in terms of developmental structures and social amenities. If not for the legacies of the past leaders as a result of the ordination of Kaduna as the administrative center of the Northern region by the Sardaunas, Kaduna would have been less than Plateau today. There are roads and structures that are never renovated or upgraded since constructed between sixties and eighties. The major roads in Kaduna have potholes and very bad shoulders, the town planning remain so primitive and unorganized, Government Offices are not accommodating and inhabitant because bats and humans are not suppose to share buildings. People are surviving on the mercy of presence of higher institutions readily in the state long before the present leaders started their education. Number of beggars on the streets of Kaduna and the poor security in the LGAs are enough to make Sardauna turn in his grave. Population remains the only industry working. One cannot imagine the billions or trillions of Naira from the Federal Government that had hit the Kaduna State Treasury in the last 15yrs to date, yet no single public utility that worth 10 percent of such amount serving the people. Let me say this in Hausa, Bokon ku bata anfane ku ba, meaning, your education is a wasted strive. FOR A STATE LIKE KADUNA, THE ONLY INDUSTRY OR LARGEST EMPLOYER OF LABOUR IN KADUNA BELONGS TO PRIVATE SECTOR, WHICH IS THE BREWERY, WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT! IG Wala
